Local Matters

For us, local is so much more than where we’re from.

The relationship we have with Suffolk and the East of England is fundamental to what we make, and how we make it.

The majority of our barley is locally grown for us, from the extraordinary Holkham estate, one of the UK’s most pioneering and sustainable rural estates.

From 2022 all of our beers contain British hops. And if you try our products containing rye, it most likely came from Jonathan Adnams’ family farm, a few miles up the road.

It’s not just us that cares about local - 69%* of beer drinkers are looking for locally produced brews and 48%* of all consumers saying Covid has made it more important to buy British.
